Migration decisions

  • The source is treated as a Guide, not a Policy.
  • Time-sensitive facts should point to official sources and have a short review cycle.
  • Personal experiences should be attributed, dated, and separated from required steps.
  • Personal names have been removed from procedure headings and from the body text.
  • Recommendations should not imply institutional endorsement.
  • Identity, residence, payroll, and health documents should be explicitly treated as sensitive.

Remaining work

  • Obtain approval from the source owner to retire or redirect the Google Doc after migration.
  • Identify page owners and replace role placeholders.
  • Validate legal, immigration, insurance, tax, pension, leave, and emergency information.
  • Decide whether community lifestyle content belongs in the research handbook or a separate welcome guide.
  • Preserve any useful comments or linked attachments that were not included in the document export.
